Presenting the work of 6 Iranian Composers impacted by the recent Executive Order 13768, restricting U.S. travel from seven Middle East countries.

Violinist Andrew McIntosh will present new music for violin, by composers from Iran

A free event. McIntosh will be performing contemporary works for solo violin, as well as duos with pianist Richard Valitutto and soprano Stephanie Aston. The featured composers are Anahita Abassi, Sina Fallahzad, Ashkan Behzadi, Idin Samimi Mofakham, Arash Yazdani, and Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour.

LA-based composer/violinist/violist/baroque violinist Andrew McIntosh has a unique and multifaceted career spanning solo, chamber, and early music engagements across the US and in Europe. His compositions have been described as “a shining example of the extraordinary music that the youngest generation of American experimentalists has to offer" (TEMPO), and have been featured at major venues in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Los Angeles, and New York, including several recent performances at the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Green Umbrella series in Walt Disney Concert Hall and at Monday Evening Concerts in Zipper Hall (Los Angeles).
